Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Riverline ("Riverline," "we," "us"), a fly-fishing conditions and trip-planning service. By accessing or using Riverline, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Riverline. If you create an account, you are responsible for activity under it and for keeping access to your email or sign-in method secure. You agree to provide accurate information.

Open beta

Riverline is currently a free, open beta. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the service may be unavailable from time to time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, and we may introduce paid features in the future with notice.

Safety — your judgment on the water comes first

Riverline provides information to help you plan; it is not a safety device. River flows, weather, and water conditions can change rapidly and can be dangerous. Always exercise your own judgment, check official sources, and follow local regulations and closures. You are solely responsible for your decisions and safety on or near the water. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from use of the service or reliance on its data.

Conditions data and accuracy

Riverline aggregates publicly available data from third parties such as USGS, Open-Meteo, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and NRCS, and generates recommendations and AI-assisted content from it. This information may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and is provided for general informational purposes only with no guarantee of correctness. Verify regulations, access, and closures with the relevant authorities before fishing.

Your content

Content you create — such as catch logs, notes, and saved rivers — remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to operate the service for you. You can delete your account and associated content at any time from within the app.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from the service, or commercially resell or redistribute its data;
• interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts;
• use the service to break the law or violate fishing regulations; or
• misuse the AI assistant to generate harmful, abusive, or unlawful content.

Riverline is intended for personal, non-commercial use during the beta.

Intellectual property

The Riverline name, brand, site, and original content are owned by us and protected by applicable law. Underlying conditions data is owned by its respective sources.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Riverline and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service or its data.

Termination

You may stop using Riverline and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above; continued use after changes means you accept them.
